Blind Amphibian Creature That Sticks Its Head In The Sand Named After Trump

Blind creature that buries head in sand named after Donald Trump

The creature was originally discovered in Panama, and it has yet to be confirmed as a new species, the suggested name–Dermophis donaldtrumpi–  has the name yet been formally published.
The ‘odd’ name proposed for the creature was chosen by boss of EnviroBuild, a sustainable building materials company, who paid $25,000 at an auction for the right.
EnviroBuild blogged; “Caecilians is taken from the Latin Caecus meaning “blind”, and [they] have rudimentary eyes which can only detect light or dark. Capable of seeing the world only in black and white, Donald Trump has claimed that climate change is a hoax by the Chinese.”

According to EnviroBuild’s Aidan Bell, its ability to bury its head in the ground is similar to Donald Trump’s approach to global warming.

As an amphibian, the newly found creature is extremely susceptible to the impacts of climate change and global warming. According to the Rainforest Trust, the creature is in danger of becoming extinct as a result of recent climate policies.

Climate change is already harming not only American lives, from wildfires to floods but the entire planet. The worst part is that scientist expect things to get worse, according to a US government report published in November.

Trump’s response to the report was: “I don’t believe it.
