A book called “Identified Flying Objects: A Multidisciplinary Scientific Approach to the UFO Phenomenon” has claimed that the vast distances traveled by alien visitors are temporary rather than spatial.
The book delves into the possibility of whether UFOs could be advanced spaceships and aliens, us, but only from the future?
Written by Dr. Michael P. Masters, a professor of biological anthropology specializing in human evolutionary anatomy, the book cautiously examines the premise that aliens may be no more than humans from the future, using the anthropological tool of time travel to visit and study us in their own hominin evolutionary past.
UFOs in modern times
Mysterious UFOs have captured the attention of the public and scholars for decades. Never before has science taken into consideration that the phenomena may actually be real.
Now, with thousands of UFOs reported all over the world and declassified documents and videos being released by the government, now more than ever are humans considering the possibility that we are not alone in the universe and that we may very well have been—and still are—visited by aliens.
Furthermore, hundreds of exoplanets have been discovered and found to be habitable. It is only right to consider that some of these distant worlds may, in fact, have developed life, and some of them even intelligent life, with possible spacefaring civilizations. Some of these spacefaring civilizations may even be much more advanced—technologically—than we are today.
However, in addition to the physical UFO, some have even proposed that aliens may, in fact, be interdimensional as well as extradimensional visitors.
The book suggests that the humanoid beings mentioned in countless close encounters throughout history are actually the descendants of today’s civilization, which have evolved to a perhaps unrecognizable form, visiting us from the distant future where time travel is more than just a theory.
A new look—an old theory
Professor Masters thinks that – given the rapid pace of changes in science, technology, and engineering – it is likely that humans from the distant future could develop the technology and machinery that would allow them to travel into the past.
The book’s entire goal is to encourage a renewed and more informed discussion between believers and skeptics. After all, UFOs and aliens are no longer limited to conspiracy theory talk.
There is physical evidence at our disposal that suggests that this phenomenon is more than just a controversial subject, only to be spoken among friends.
“I took a multidisciplinary approach to try and understand the oddities of this phenomenon,” Masters explained in an interview with Space.com.
“Our job as scientists is to be asking big questions and try to find answers to unknown questions. Something is going on here, and we should be having a conversation about this. We should be at the forefront of trying to find out what it is.”
Masters calls these futuristic humans extratempestrials, noting that close-encounter accounts throughout history tend to describe aliens as humanoids, bipedal beings with large heads, large eyes, small noses, and mouths.
These creatures are often said to possess the ability to speak to us in our own language and have technology unlike anything we have today, but which is probably built upon today’s technological prowess.
The idea set forth by Dr. Masters has already been proposed—in some way—in previous books.
One such example is the work of Dr. Ellis Silver, the author of the book; Humans are not from Earth: a scientific evaluation of the evidence.
Dr. Silver suggests that humans did not originate from Earth but were brought to this planet from a different solar system in the distant past.
