Theorists say multiple things about the Rosslyn chapel which was constructed in 1446 in Edinburg, Scotland. People residing in that particular area firmly believe that all of the theories are accurate. The most prominent theory is that the ‘Knights Templar’ used to visit the chapel in the past. It is widely believed that the Holy Grail is hidden somewhere within the walls of this particular House of God. People also testify that UFOs have been sighted in Scotland multiple times near the chapel and the chapel itself holds a secret gateway to another world.
The theories are bizarre but could be true. Numerous tales have been weaved around the chapel, and certain people believe in them. There’s one more strange theory that caught multiple eyes and made several angry. It’s about the ‘head of Jesus’. Author Keith Laidler claimed that the head is indeed hidden underneath the chapel by the Templars, companions of Jesus.
He mentioned all sorts of details related to this theory in his book called ‘The Head of God: The Lost Treasure of the Templars‘, which was published in 1998. He suggested that the head was brought in by the Templars who were famous for carrying out such tasks. Laidler also pushed for the excavations of the chapel. The chapel, however, is considered sacred and cannot be excavated. It once went under construction, and three skeletons were discovered from the ground. They were reburied later.
The structure of Rosslyn chapel is beautiful. It is said that the walls are full of coded messages and scripts. Each one tells a different tale. People also noticed strange stone cube on the ceilings of the chapel. Each cube has a different pattern and symbol on it. There are various theories that revolve around them. Some believe that the cubes contain secret messages or musical notes that open the hidden portal to another world. Furthermore, some individuals suggest that there’s a secret society of people who constructed these cubes in hopes to warn future generations.
There are various symbols similar to the cubes in the Rosslyn chapel. The symbols are intriguing but have not been interpreted as yet. To some people, the symbols suggest the involvement of secret societies. For example, one stone pillar in the chapel is basically a strand of DNA, a molecular structure that was not identified until the 1950s. Another section of the stonework simply shows carvings of corn or maize.
All in all, the Rosslyn Chapel is nothing but a mysterious place. The artwork is quite intricate and stunning. However, the claims are difficult to ignore and oftentimes force an individual to ponder upon them. As I have stated before, the chapel is considered sacred and holds a special place in everyone’s heart. Some suggest that the true meaning of Christianity is also hidden underneath the structure. They say that the scrolls which were written by Jesus Christ himself are buried there. Multiple people have requested for the excavations, but the request was not approved. The site remains untouched as it was many years ago.
